Happy New Year!!

My friend Sue of Junk-it Junction in Australia commented on my post about the December 8 & 9 blizzard saying she had never seen so much snow.  She also asked how we get out.  Well Sue, here's the answer.

We shovel (my neighbor across the street),

 and blow (Ron),

 and blow,

and blow some more.

Sometimes we are lucky and our good neighbor David comes with his big blue tractor and blade and pushes away the big drifts and all the snow the city plows manage to push back into everyone's driveways.

These photos are really from the snow storm that started December 22 and lasted through Christmas day.  We got some snow, but it was mostly rain.  A lot of rain for December.  And now everything is frozen and icy.  Ahhh, winter in Minnesota..

I am really looking forward to celebrating Christmas with our sons and families on New Year's Day.

I wish you all a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!!

Marge

  1. Thankyou Marge, I had to giggle, I didnt think you would show me!
Thats alot of work, it must be hard for the elderly and disabled to get around.
As much as I wish it was cooler here, maybe not as cool as in your part of the world!
We have been getting alot of news here about all the blizzards and car accidents, and flights cancelled.I hope you stay safe and warm.
