"People who are organized are just too lazy to look for things."

I read that quote a few days ago and it made me chuckle. I spent at least 25 minutes today digging through the chaos that is supposed to be my sewing room, looking for a piece of lace. Well, I didn’t find any lace (where do you suppose I put the lace?), but I did find these little baby shoe cuties. I bought them unused and in their original, somewhat dusty and dirty clear cello box, at a garage sale in Wisconsin early this spring. I haven't seen shoes made like this in several years. The sole extends up the back to the top of the shoe -- all one piece of leather.

These little never-worn shoes were just begging to be pin cushions, and so they are. Funny, I now have no idea what I was going to do with the lace.

Along with the shoe pin cushions, I came across a few tiny tea cup pin cushions and a tarnished silver baby cup turned pin cushion. I will take pictures, I promise!

Enjoy your Sunday,
