In November of 2004, I opened my shop just in time for the holiday season. From the beginning, I have been open Thurs – Sat plus several Sundays throughout the year. As much as I love my shop, being tied up every weekend has been a drag. I have felt as though I was missing out on a lot of events.
Then, in early May, my husband had a heart attack followed by triple by-pass surgery the next day. He has made a great recovery for which I am truly thankful. But, over the course of the past few weeks, I have looked closely at our lives from every angle imaginable, re-evaluating priorities. Although not an easy decision to make, Emma’s Nook & Granny is Moving On.
It simply is the right thing to do at this time.
This doesn’t mean there will be no Emma’s Nook & Granny. It just means I am moving on to another phase – one that will find Emma’s Nook & Granny On the Go! You’ll still find me around the area involved in retail (occasional sales), decorating (home consultations) and trash to treasure projects (Junk Bonanza, Women in Business annual charity auction, etc). There just won’t be a shop on
